Results of the 4th charity campaign «Life is priceless!»

On March 14th, NGO ”Save Life” together with the “Moldcell” Company has held a charity campaign “Life is priceless”. This campaign has already become a good annual tradition. The event itself took place on the first floor of the Atrium Shopping Centre. The main goal was a fundraiser in order to help with the treatments of the seriously ill children. It is already fourth year in row when we collect donations in the form of coins, to show that someone’s life is not a small thing, and together we can save lives by collecting even pennies.

This year we managed to collect 174 333 lei: 5 640 lei were donated via SMS sent to the short number 0445, 21 920 lei – in bills donations, and in coins were raised – 33 441 lei. We are very grateful to B.C. Moldindconbank S.A. for providing assistance with the re-count of coins and collection services.

In the framework of the campaign «Together we are The Power”, Moldcell directs 20% of the monthly subscription fees to NGO «Save Life» to pay surgeries and expensive treatments for Moldovan kids. And this time, during the event “Life is priceless” Moldcell has transferred funds raised through this campaign to help our children. Contribution in the amount of 113,332 lei will go to the bank account of NGO «Save Life» in the near future.

This year we were fundraising to pay the treatment of 3 two years old kids, they are – Eugen Hamitchii, Ionut Odobescu and Thaisya Stoyanova, their parents appealed to our organization for help. According to the results of the campaign «Life is priceless» to Eugen Hamitchii, diagnosed with deep bilateral hypoacusis, has been transferred 22,753 lei, to Ionut Odobescu with cerebral palsy has been transferred – 115 000 lei, to Thaisya Stoyanova diagnosed with congenital radial clubhand has been transferred – 36,580 lei. Due to this campaign we were able to close the fundraiser for Ionut and Thaisya!

At the event there was a lot of fun! There were so many children who were happy to share their piggy banks, realizing that by doing so they help other children to fight their illnesses. In order to encourage all kids who came to share, an entertainment program was organized from the Kids’ development centers of Chisinau, also was installed a five-meter 3D photo stand, where everyone could take a picture. All the guests were greeted by their favorite characters: Jack Sparrow, Spider – Man, fabulous fairies, princesses and other cartoon characters from the kids’ animators «KinderLand.md». Throughout the day at the event were conducting thematic workshops with the children by our partners -International Children Academy – FASTRAKIDS, children’s center Znayka, development center for children and parents – MIRIAM, Center for Child Development – SMART START, Jewish Student Cultural Center – Hillel.

Each young participant of the campaign received as a gift a badge «For the big heart» and a tasty golden medal.

During the day the event was conducted by the presenters, young MCs from the anchorman school “Jamaica”. MC Mike also was actively taking part in this event.

It was great to see familiar faces. Schools, kindergartens, different organizations were bringing their piggy banks, making their contributions to the children’s recovery. Among them were: Moldovan Tennis Federation, Badminton Federation of RM; lyceums: “N. Milescu-Spătaru”, “Gheorghe Asachi”, “Mihail Berezovsky”; kindergartens: № 184, № 105, № 129 and many others.
