Help for children with diabetes

In the past few years, NGO «Save Life» has been actively involved in assisting children’s units at the Institute of Oncology in Chisinau. This assistance was made possible thanks to our project with the GlobalGiving Foundation and our dedicated partners and supporters. We were able to purchase and distribute so much needed medical equipment and supplies that greatly complemented doctors’ hard work.

Today we are ready to develop this assistance further and help the other children’s hospitals, along with a continued support for the Institute of Oncology.

Children’s diabetes has long ceased to be a sentence. But the disease is complex, requiring vigilant monitoring. We delved into the problem in order to understand what is the greatest benefit for the young patients of the Institute for Mother and Child Health Care. We found out that most of all in the departments there is not enough specialized equipment that helps to monitor continuously the level of glucose in the body. The best option is the iPro2 system. And for individual use by each patient, it is necessary to purchase glucose sensors.

“Save Life” launches a new project to raise funds for the purchase of necessary equipment that maintain a stable state of children living with diabetes.

In our work, we have come across so many skilled and truly dedicated doctors who often sacrifice their lives in order to save children. At the same time, the costs of pediatric care are still high and government financing can only cover these expenses in part. Here is where non-government organizations such as ours can help. We can provide the hospitals with medicines, equipment and other vital items. Children who fall ill cannot wait. They rely on us each day. We hope that you can join and support our program.
