They have been waiting for us and we came again…

On December 28, just before the New Year’s Eve, public organization Save Life organized a matinee for the children from the Burns and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Departments of the Emilian Cotaga Children’s Hospital in Chisinau.

On that day, the atmosphere in the hospital was really that of celebration. There was a green and beautifully decorated Christmas tree. The children believe in miracles and had been waiting for something magic to happen. And indeed, a real Santa Claus with his granddaughter Snow Maiden and other fairytale heroes came to visit them! At the matinee, there was a performance for the little patients. The children guessed riddles and recited rhymes to Santa Clause. He entered every ward to see the children who could not join the rest of the kids in the hall. And the excitedly shining eyes of the little ones proved – he had been waited for! They had waited for him and trusted that even at a hospital the miracle will not simply pass by.

The hospital staff were very glad to follow what was happening and smiled seeing their patients happy and cheerful. The holiday turned out very lively and exciting. And at the end Santa Claus gave everybody toys and sweet treats.

On New Year’s Eve everything shines – the snowflakes, the garlands on the tree and the Bengal lights. But there is a special New Year’s light – the light of children’s eyes waiting for a miracle. And you can believe it, a miracle is equally waited for in every apartment, in every hospital hall, and even in a sterile ward. We are sure that this joyful event from their hospital life will be remembered by the children as something miraculous, unusual and good.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank those who took part in organizing this wonderful children’s even: the children animation group KINDERLAND and the toy store LULU. During the New Year holidays, give a part of you to those who need this and this kindness will be returned a hundredfold to you.
