Results of the charity event “Life is priceless” 2016
On April 2nd “Save Life” together with Moldcell held for the 5th time charity event “Life is priceless”.
This year we changed the model of the event and organized it in 4 Moldcell shops, situated in different districts of Chisinau, to improve accessibility to the coins collection points for the people who wanted to participate. Also for the first time we reached for other cities as well, among them were Cahul, Causani, Ceadir-Lunga, Hincesti, Orhei, Ungheni and Balti.
As usual there was a lot of fun! Kids and parents were welcome by the heroes of the movies and cartoons. In the shops, situated on Pushkin street 30 and Dacia street 49/14, two smileys Krosh, Niusha and fixik Nolik with Snowhite from Kinderland met the guests, in the shop on Tighina str. 55, there was a snowman Olaf from the famous” Frozen heart” cartoon . In Moldcell shop on the third floor of Malldova shopping center the kids were greeted by Mignon. Each coins collection point had a special Lego area, where kids could draw and play being guided by teachers from Prospera Academy and ProLego club.
All participants got special badge with inscription “For the warm heart”, and a very tasty biscuit, as a sign of gratitude for the offered support.
It was so pleasant to see already known faces. Teams from various companies brought moneyboxes to help kids with severe diseases to get well sooner.
We were so glad to see groups of children – classmates, bringing collected coins and being aware that this money will help saving someone’s life. We thank parents, teachers, educators, for teaching compassion and for helping children making good deeds.
The main objective of “Life is priceless” event was to collect money to cover treatment of “Save Life” beneficiaries. This year we dedicated fund raising to Alexandra Strelets (Infantile Cerebral Paralysis), Irina Brinza (Microphthalmia) and Ivan Statnic (Congenital Arthrogryposis).
We managed to collect in total 74 480 MDL. Out of them 1 580 MDL, were from SMS on our short number – 0445, 49 671 MDL in paper money, bank transfers – 3 561 MDL and 19 668 MDL in coins. To close the needed fund raising amount 31 731 MDL were missing. We are glad to inform you that Moldcell made the matching, by adding this money in the “moneybox”.

Our special thanks go to “Open Hearts” organization, “Hillel” youth organization, and all volunteers helping sorting the coins.
As the result of this great charity event we could close fund raising for all 3 kids and got evidence once again, that someone’s life is priceless. Together we can save it, just by collecting small coins.
