Results of the first time in Moldova Charity Wedding

330 000 MDL will be used to help persons having severe diseases and needing urgent treatment.

Organizations are very grateful to the initiative of two kind people and main heroes of the first time in Moldova charity wedding party of Iolanta Mura, general director of “Bemol” company and American diplomat Ben Williams. “Star” couple decided to offer their personal celebration to people in need, and to pass for charity all money collected during this event.

«It took us long to find the proper name for our event, as there was no such experience before in Moldova. And finally the theme of our wedding was – Celebrating Life. This name resonates fully with the scope of the event. If collected money would help saving at least one person’s life, then this event was worth celebrating- related just married couple.

Around 150 people came to Ben’s & Iolanta’s wedding. Besides traditional charity contribution, guests were invited to take part in the auction with various unusual lots. Among them were pieces of art, flight on balloon, karaoke party with just married couple. Collected money was added to the charity box.

The idea of charity wedding party was supported also by the musicians who were entertaining guests on that evening and offered their performance free of charge: Yolka Fleeman, Valeria Stoica, Gravity Band, Angry Band, Pasha Parfeni, with the main surprise of Eurovision 2017- SunStrokeProject. All artists filled the evening with marvelous live music.

Many partners offering services for this event also decided to be a part of the charity cause, and offered exclusive wines and other auction lots.

Thanks to such involvement of warm hearted people and organizations one can say with confidence that the first Charity wedding party was performed very successfully in our country. We hope that Iolanta’s & Ben’s example will encourage and motivate other couples and other people to do more kind deeds and to offer help in any day!

Today we are closing fund raising for several kids at a time: Gaidarji Dima, Tsaran Roman and Chiriac Camelia. We could do this so quickly due to the money collected during the first Charity Wedding in Moldova! Besides offered help to the mentioned children there are some money left for the next child, who will not have to wait long. Thank you for all you support, our dear savers!
