Codreanu Emilia, 1 year

After three years of unsuccessful attempts, the Codreanu family had their first child – on September 25, 2014 their daughter Emilia was born. Everybody was so happy but very soon the little girl was diagnosed with congenital heart disease. Emilia was examined several times, but, unfortunately, the diagnosis was confirmed. The possibility that a miracle would happen and the defect would neutralize by itself was only 2-3%. But the parents wanted to believe that their child’s organism would win the disease by its own forces so much… They decided to wait for a year. The girl was growing up. The disease affected neither her looks nor her growth rate. The only anomaly was her rather low weight. But this did not prevent Emilia from being a very active and inquisitive girl. Like all children, Emilia likes watching cartoons. But her main passion is Moldavian folk music. As soon as the little one hears her favourite melodies, she starts dancing!

Time was passing by. But the miracle did not happen. The question of a surgery became the main topic of conversations in the family. They cannot wait anymore.

The cost of the operation in the Children’s Cardiological Centre in Kyiv is 4187.90 euros (~91000 MDL).

Emilia’s parents don’t have this money. Her father is a penitentiary system employee, her mother is on a maternity leave.
