In this very moment, when you are reading these words, hundreds of parents from Moldova are living the most difficult moments of their lives. They just found out that their children have very serious diseases. Newborns or older kids, all them were brought to this world with love and raised care.

Due to the great progress of the medical system, many of these illnesses (heart diseases, cancer, rare genetic diseases) can be cured or at least kept under control, but not in Moldova. In deep examinations, long-term treatments and expensive surgery outside the country are needed. What should these parents do? They sell their houses, cars, jewelry; they get bank loans just to save their child’s life. But what if they have nothing to sell? What’s to be done then?

Many parents are blaming themselves for everything. For not taking proper care of the children, for not feeding them properly or not going to the doctor’s enough. They blame themselves for choosing to raise their children in a poor country. Could this be these people’s fault? Choosing to stay here?

We are not trying to find out who is guilty. For 6 years already, we are just trying to find solutions. To offer financial support for severely ill children. To encourage the desperate parents and give them hope. Mostly because there really is hope and because there really ARE valid solutions. It’s all about the money.

What it takes to win is money, but also our desire to help our children. The children of this country. “The future”, as they are often called.

During the next weeks, we are inviting you to meet 4 kids who are heroes. Some of the battle with the disease thanks to kind and generous people. Others are still struggling. They have willpower and courage to overcome mountains.

*”Save life” NGO is active for already 6 years. 151 children were treated from the funds gathered by the association so far. All the collected funds go directly to the bank accounts of the clinics where the kids are treated. Nor Moldcell, neither “Save life” NGO do not take any kind of fees or commissions from your donations.

How to help?

“Save life” NGO and Moldcell provide several simple and fast donation methods:

1. Send 30 MDL via SMS to the short number 0445. The service is available for Moldcell clients, individuals only.

2. Planned donations for the children

Moldcell clients can make monthly automatic donations of 50 or 100 MDL, by activating the service of planned donations at the short number 4040.

Send an SMS with the text 50 to 4040 and donate 50 MDL per month.

Send and SMS with the text 100 to 4040 and donate 100 MDL per month.

The selected amount will be automatically extracted your account, without any additional steps from your side.

The service can be deactivated, by sending an SMS with the text 0 to 4040.

The selected amount will be extracted once per month, in the day when the service was activated.

The selected amount can be modified any time, by sending an SMS with the new amount (50 or 100 MDL) to 4040.

The service will be automatically deactivated, if the subscriber does not have enough credit for donations during 90 days from the last successful donation.

The service of planned donations is available only for Moldcell subscribers, individuals.

All the collected money will be transferred to “Save life” NGO, for the treatment of severely ill children.
