Cardas Xenia, 1 year

Extrophy of bladder- an intrauterin pathology, when the bladder of the baby is situated outside, instead of being inside of the body. This is very rare and not very well studied anomaly, which requires mandatory surgical intervention.

Doctors from Moldova, have made several attempt operating children with such pathology, but unseccesfully. Cardas family have entrusted their doughter to italian doctors.

Xiusha was born in July 2014 in the family of pharmacists. When making ultrasonografic exam during pregnancy doctors could not depict this pathology. They inerpreted extrophy as genital signs of a boy. Parents could not wait for their son to come, but it was a girl Xenia and she needed urgent help.

She was only 4 months old baby , when operated in Italy. Relatives, friends, colleagues collected the needed amount- 11 thousands euro. This was the cost of the treatment and rehabilitation. One year passed from then. Investigations showed that she needs a second intervention, which should be done before she is 2 years old. The treatment cost is 12 thousands euro. Family is not able to collect again such an amount and addressed to us for help. And they do need it!

In order to help Xenia we are opening fundraising for her of 200 000 MDL. With this money we will be able to partly cover the cost of the tretament.
