Marius was born on October 24th 2012. For more than 2 years his parents even could not guess that their child did not hear, untill the moment when a pan fell on the floor and little Marius did not react on the terrible noise produced. Father took the son to the E. Cotaga hospital in the Audiology department, and after some investigations the diagnosis was set up- total deafness. Parents could not believe to what they’ve heard and went urgently to Iasi, Romania. There , the diagnosis was confirmed- Marius did not hear anything. The only chance exists for him is to have a cochlear transplant. The total cost of intervention, including implant – 21 475 euro. But we will try to collect a part of the required amount, which is 200,000 MDL. Doctors insist on making operation as soon as possible, to avoid possible complications in future and to ensure normal development for the boy.

Marius’ s parents call for help. They managed to collect some amounts, but still unsufficient to cover the costs.

Modern medicine can help Marius. Life in the total silence is not a sentence for him. Now, it depends on each of us, who read this story, will Marius hear beloved once, nature sounds and himself. Will he live in harmony with this world or will he not understand.
