News from the Catarau family!

Dear friends, we have been waiting for news from the Catarau family for such a long time. And today we can tell you of the progress in little Andrei’s treatment.

On June 3rd, the boy successfully underwent his fifth surgery. It was a complicated surgery of transplanting a muscle from the thorax into the biceps of the boy’s left hand. According to the prognoses, this surgery will make it possible for the child to bring his hand close to his mouth by himself when eating. The surgery lasted three and a half hours, the recovery period is still going on. But until the full recovery the little one still has a long way to go and he must undergo several more operations.

Now the parents are teaching Andrei to eat without their help, to brush his teeth and comb his hair by himself. Inspite of all his suffering, the boy keeps smiling, giving his parents happiness and hope. He knows that his guardians angels are with him – all those who are helping him to battle against his illness. Thanks to the financial and moral support of people around them Andrei’s parents are sure that their dream of curing completely their son is attainable.

Andrei’s parents thank the Russian physicians for their professionalism and kindness, they thank all those who have been with them all this time and helped the boy achieve such great results. Their deepest gratitude goes to all who helped the child.
